Meet our candidates, Sanhita Panse and Ellie Plunkett!

We are both sophomores at Mount Pisgah and are raising money in honor of Mrs. Parker, our 6th-grade English teacher, who was diagnosed with Leukemia. Mrs. Parker has blessed our lives and the lives of so many students, and we want to honor her strength and recovery through our campaign. Our chosen mission pillar is Patient Education & Support because we believe that no patient and their family should have to face this battle alone! We are working hard to ensure the success of Team Patriots for the Cure, and we hope that you support us. With your help, we are one step closer to seeing an end to cancer!

On behalf of Team Patriots for the Cure, thank you!

Hi everyone!

Team Patriots for the Cure is a group of 10th and 11th graders at Mount Pisgah, and this year, we're proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign. We are working hard to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission, and our team is dedicated to raising money to ultimately improve the lives of patients and their families! In one way or another, cancer has affected everyone's lives, and our goal is to get one step closer to being the generation that sees an end to the awful disease. We are excited and honored to have the opportunity to take an active role in the fight against cancer and hope you support our team!

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

This year, we've chosen to highlight LLS's pillar of Patient Education and Support in honor of our 6th-grade English teacher, Mrs. Parker. She has been a blessing to our lives and to those at Mount Pisgah, whether teacher or student. She has been incredibly brave throughout her journey, and we want to honor her courage through this campaign. LLS's mission pillar of Patient Education and Support provides numerous financial aid and mental health programs to help patients and their families from their diagnosis to remission. We are grateful for the opportunity to help those with this horrible disease, and we hope that through our efforts, we're closer to curing blood cancer and ensuring peace and happiness throughout the lives of patients and their families.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible, and we also have a gift matching program. Please visit our website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
